A proper local pub with heart
The Jolly Farmers feels like a proper local pub that's been around forever - and it has. Located in Frog's Bottom, this McMullen family establishment from 1910 has that comfortable, unpretentious vibe that locals love. The spit-roasted chicken is their signature dish, and honestly, when you're craving something hearty and properly cooked, this place delivers. The bar area is genuinely dog-friendly (they even have wipes for muddy paws), which says a lot about the community feel here.
The space itself is well-designed for different moods - you've got roaring log fires for those chilly London evenings, cosy corners for intimate chats, and a function room that can handle everything from birthday parties to business lunches.
