Located right off Tower Bridge Road in Southwark, it’s got that authentic local pub vibe that’s becoming harder to find in London. The staff are friendly and attentive, and you’ll quickly notice the mix of regulars who clearly come here week after week. Whether you’re here for a quick pint after work or to catch a match on one of the many screens, the atmosphere is relaxed and welcoming.
The space itself is decent – two connecting bars give it room to breathe, and the garden seating is a nice bonus when the weather’s good. Le George, c’est ce genre de pub qu’on cherche depuis des années – celui où vous pouvez vous détendre sans vous soucier des codes vestimentaires ou des prix exagérés. Situé juste à côté de Tower Bridge Road à Southwark, il dégage cette ambiance authentique de pub local qui se fait de plus en plus rare à Londres. Le personnel est sympathique et attentionné, et vous remarquerez rapidement le mélange de habitués qui viennent ici semaine après semaine. Que ce soit pour une bière rapide après le travail ou pour regarder un match sur l’un des nombreux écrans, l’ambiance est détendue et accueillante.
L’espace est correct – deux bars connectés lui donnent de l’air, et la terrasse est un plus agréable quand il fait beau.
