Solid neighborhood pub with reliable food
The Cow has settled into its role as a reliable neighborhood spot after taking over from The Chophouse. The refurbishment feels fresh without losing the warmth of the original space—soft green walls, sanded floors, and actual cow art (not too many, thank goodness). The menu plays it safe, which works in its favor here: you won't find anything wrong with the crab salad, scallops, or the Dexter burger, even if nothing knocks your socks off. Service is friendly and attentive, with Joe Doohan still greeting tables like he owns the place—which, in a way, he does. It's perfect for a casual dinner before heading to a match at Aviva, or just a relaxed weeknight meal where you know the food will be solid and the atmosphere won't be stuffy.
