About the Vibe

Tucked away on Northcote Road, Tamra is the brunch oasis Clapham Junction residents have been craving. This small, modern cafe with its warm orange accents and friendly vibe feels more like a friend's kitchen than a restaurant. The brother-and-sister team behind it clearly care about their regulars, making you feel instantly at home while serving up Middle Eastern-inspired brunch dishes that actually stand out in this competitive area.

The Brunch Oasis of Clapham Junction

Cafe Tamra has earned its reputation as the best brunch spot in Clapham Junction, and for good reason. The menu offers creative Middle Eastern-inspired dishes that you won't find at the typical gastropubs or American-style cafes nearby. I particularly recommend the autumn special: roasted butternut squash and poached egg on hummus-covered sourdough with pesto and pine nuts. The coffee is genuinely excellent too—specialty milks and proper preparation that could carry this place on its own.

The atmosphere is what really sets it apart. With its warm, modern decor and bright orange highlights, it feels inviting rather than pretentious. The staff, who are often the owners themselves, know their regulars by name and remember your usual order. Yes, there's sometimes a queue on weekends, but it moves quickly and the wait is absolutely worth it for food this good.
