Serious Coffee in Gràcia
SlowMov is a no-nonsense specialty coffee spot in Gràcia that earns its reputation through consistent quality. They roast their own beans, which you can taste in every cup — especially the cortado, which is one of the best I've had in Barcelona. The space is modest but welcoming, with a loyal local crowd that knows exactly what they want. You'll also find a decent breakfast and lunch selection with pastries, but coffee is the real draw.
If you're a coffee snob, you'll appreciate their filter options like chemex and drip, which are prepared with care. The staff is knowledgeable and happy to guide you through their rotating selection of single-origin beans. It's not the flashiest café in the city, but for serious coffee lovers, it's hard to beat. On many visits, the quality never wavers — that consistency is what sets SlowMov apart from the newer specialty spots popping up around town.
The only downside is limited seating and no weekend hours, so plan accordingly. But if you're passing through Gràcia on a weekday morning, make a stop here. SlowMov est un café de spécialité à Gràcia qui tient sa réputation grâce à une qualité constante. Ils torréfient eux-mêmes leurs grains, ce qui se ressent dans chaque tasse — surtout dans le cortado, l'un des meilleurs que j'aie goûtés à Barcelone. L'espace est modeste mais accueillant, fréquenté par une clientèle locale fidèle qui sait ce qu'elle veut. On y trouve aussi un bon petit-déjeuner et déjeuner avec des pâtisseries, mais le café reste la vraie star.
Si vous êtes un amateur de café, vous apprécierez leurs options de filtre comme le chemex ou le drip, préparés avec soin. Le personnel est compétent et ravi de vous guider à travers leur sélection tournante de grains d'origine unique. Ce n'est pas le café le plus flashy de la ville, mais pour les vrais amateurs de café, difficile de faire mieux. Au fil de mes nombreuses visites, la qualité ne faiblit jamais — c'est cette régularité qui distingue SlowMov des nouveaux spots de spécialité qui ouvrent un peu partout.
Le seul bémol : peu de places assises et pas d'ouverture le week-end, donc prévoyez bien votre visite. Mais si vous passez par Gràcia en semaine le matin, faites une pause ici. C'est le genre d'endroit qui vous rappelle pourquoi le café de spécialité compte — sans artifice, juste des grains excellents torréfiés et préparés par des gens passionnés.
