Schollenkrug has been a neighborhood staple in Reinickendorf for decades, and the new team from Robbengatter is keeping that tradition alive while giving the menu a modern touch. You'll find a solid mix of German classics and international fare here, from hearty flammkuchen to creative bowls and salads. It's the kind of place where locals come for breakfast or a relaxed lunch, and the service is consistently friendly without being stuffy. The atmosphere is cozy and welcoming—think warm lighting, comfortable seating, and a vibe that feels more like a neighborhood living room than a restaurant. It's not flashy, but that's part of its charm. Whether you're grabbing a quick bite or settling in for a longer meal, you'll feel right at home here.
Solid neighborhood spot with traditional charm
Schollenkrug is the kind of place that feels like it's been part of the neighborhood forever, and that's exactly the vibe you get when you walk in. The new management from Robbengatter has respected the tradition while updating the menu with some nice touches. I particularly recommend the stuffed zucchini topped with cheddar-mozzarella—it's a standout dish that shows they're putting thought into the offerings. The breakfast is also solid, with a good selection and friendly, efficient service.
The atmosphere is warm and unpretentious, perfect for a relaxed meal without any pressure. It's not the most exciting place in Berlin, but that's not what it's going for. It's a reliable neighborhood spot where you know what you're getting: solid food, good service, and a comfortable environment. If you're looking for something special or trendy, this isn't it. But if you want a no-nonsense meal in a friendly setting, Schollenkrug delivers.
