Sapore Vero is that rare find in South London—a genuinely good Italian restaurant that hasn't lost its soul to gentrification. The pizza here is the star, with a perfectly charred crust and toppings that don't skimp on quality. I've had their margherita multiple times and it's consistently excellent, though the portions are so generous you'll need to order sides. The staff are friendly without being overbearing, and the place feels like a proper neighborhood institution rather than a trendy spot trying too hard.
What sets it apart is the consistency and the fact that they've maintained their quality while expanding to multiple locations. The Click & Collect service is genuinely useful for busy weeknights, and the menu changes weekly which keeps things interesting. It's not fancy, but it's honest food done well. Sapore Vero est cette trouvaille rare dans le sud de Londres : un véritable restaurant italien qui n'a pas perdu son âme face à la gentrification. La pizza est la star, avec une croûte parfaitement carbonisée et des garnitures qui ne lésinent pas sur la qualité. J'ai commandé leur margherita à plusieurs reprises et elle est constamment excellente, même si les portions sont si généreuses qu'il faut commander des accompagnements. Le personnel est sympathique sans être envahissant, et l'établissement donne l'impression d'une vraie institution de quartier plutôt que d'un endroit tendance qui force trop.
Ce qui la distingue, c'est la constance et le fait qu'ils ont maintenu leur qualité tout en s'étendant à plusieurs endroits. Le service Click & Collect est vraiment utile pour les soirs de semaine chargés, et le menu change chaque semaine, ce qui garde les choses intéressantes.
