Poppy's
âMatches your preference for quiet, immersive environments. This venue's atmosphere aligns with your saved favorites.â
About the Vibe
Poppy's is one of Hammersmith's most characterful Thai spots, where you'll find yourself dining under chandeliers surrounded by taxidermy and antique knick-knacks. It's not fancy, but the food is reliably tasty and the BYO policy makes it an incredibly good value for a proper Thai meal. Come for the beef massaman or pad see ew, stay for the quirky atmosphere that feels like stepping into someone's eccentric living room.

Quirky Thai with great value
Poppy's Thai Eatery is a proper local favourite in Hammersmith, and for good reason. The interior is unlike anywhere else in the area â think chandeliers, stuffed animals, and enough antique-shop bric-a-brac to keep you distracted between bites. It's quirky without being pretentious, and that relaxed vibe is exactly what makes it work.
The food is solid, home-style Thai cooking that punches above its price point. The beef massaman curry is a standout â rich, fragrant, and you can ask for extra heat if you're brave. Pad see ew is another reliable choice, always fresh and properly wok-tossed. Portions are generous, and with BYO wine, you're looking at one of the best value meals in west London. Service is friendly and efficient, though don't expect white-glove treatment â this is a neighbourhood caff, not a fine-dining temple.
Cash only, so hit the ATM before you go. It gets busy in the evenings, so booking ahead is wise if you're coming with a group. Poppy's isn't trying to be anything it's not, and that's precisely why it's worth your time.
