Peggy Jean is a proper find if you're after something different from the usual Richmond high street fare. The fact that you're dining on a restored barge gives it instant character, and the terrace is genuinely one of the best spots in the area for watching the sunset over the Thames. The Aussie-inspired menu is solid—the fire-grilled Tomahawk is a showstopper if you're feeding a crowd, and their all-day brunch hits the spot on lazy weekends.
It's not without its quirks. The location on a tidal pontoon means it can feel a bit exposed on windy days, and the no-dogs-inside policy might catch some off guard.
