Perched on the 10th floor of the Bikini Hotel, NENI Berlin delivers exactly what City West needs: a sophisticated spot where you can people-watch over Tiergarten while grazing on mezze that actually make you want to stay for dinner. The Mediterranean-Persian fusion plays well here—think lamb kebabs that hit the sweet spot between smoky and tender, and mezze platters that beg to be shared (and are). The rooftop vibe is genuinely special, especially at sunset when the zoo lights start twinkling below.
Rooftop views and solid mezze
NENI hits that sweet spot between trendy and genuinely good. The location alone is worth the trip—the rooftop terrace offers some of the best views in Berlin, especially at dusk when you can see the zoo and Tiergarten spread out below. The food leans heavily into Middle Eastern-Mediterranean fusion, and while it's not groundbreaking, it's executed well enough that you'll leave satisfied.
The mezze trio is the star here—perfect for sharing and great for working your way through the menu. The lamb kebab skewers are tender and well-spiced, though not quite the level you'd find at a dedicated kebab house. Service can be hit-or-miss depending on how busy they are, which is common for popular spots. The cocktails, particularly the Hugo, are refreshing and well-made.
It's definitely on the pricier side, but you're paying for the view and the location as much as the food. Book ahead, especially for weekend evenings. If you want a place that feels special without being stuffy, this is it.
