Latte has quietly become one of Lille's best-kept secrets for specialty coffee. Located on rue de Roubaix, this tiny to-go operation doesn't have much in terms of space or seating, but what it lacks in ambiance it makes up for in coffee quality. The baristas clearly know their craft, pulling consistent shots and offering creative drinks like their rose syrup coffee that you won't find anywhere else in the city.
The vegan options are decent - they offer several plant-based milks, though you'll pay extra for them. The matcha with coconut milk is particularly good, creamy and well-balanced. My only complaint is that they've stopped making vegan pastries due to profitability concerns, so if you're looking for something to eat with your coffee, you're out of luck. But for a quick, high-quality caffeine fix, this place delivers every time.
Open seven days a week from 9am to 6pm, Latte has become my reliable morning stop. The staff is friendly and efficient, and despite the small footprint, they manage to keep things moving smoothly even during busy periods.
