The reliable all-rounder by Vincennes station
La Place is that rare Vincennes spot that manages to be all things to all people without feeling like a chain. Sitting just across from the RER station on rue de Montreuil, it's the obvious rendez-vous for commuters, locals, and anyone who wants a proper meal without fuss. The breakfast gets consistent praise — fresh products, friendly service — and the brunch is worth the trip on a weekend morning. The cordon bleu is a house specialty, and they serve viande d'Aubrac, which tells you they take their food more seriously than your average transit-adjacent café.
The terrace is the big draw in summer — sunny, people-watching-friendly, and perfect for a lazy apéro or a crêpe and a coffee. La Place, c'est l'adresse que tout Vincennois connaît sans forcément y penser. Planté juste en face de la gare RER, c'est le café-brasserie de quartier qui fait tout bien sans en faire trop. Le petit-déjeuner est un vrai point fort — produits excellents, service sympa — et le brunch du week-end vaut le détour. Côté salé, le cordon bleu est une spécialité maison, et la viande d'Aubrac figure à la carte, ce qui n'est pas anecdotique pour un café de gare.
La terrasse ensoleillée est l'atout majeur l'été. On y sirote un café, on grignote une crêpe, on observe le ballet des passants. L'intérieur est climatisé et cosy, avec un étage pratique pour les groupes. L'happy hour a ses habitués, et les barmen ont clairement leurs fidèles.
