L'Oro di Napoli is a no-frills, high-energy pizzeria that punches above its weight in Hanwell. The star here is the wood-fired oven churning out Neapolitan-style pizzas with a soft, leopard-spotted crust that locals keep coming back for. It's the kind of place where you grab a table quickly, eat well, and leave—perfect for a quick, satisfying dinner without the fuss.
Solid Neapolitan pizza, no-frills charm
L'Oro di Napoli is the kind of pizzeria that locals in Hanwell genuinely love—it’s small, bustling, and serves some of the best Neapolitan-style pizza in the area. The crust is soft and pliable with that perfect leopard spotting from the charcoal oven, and while the toppings aren’t gourmet, they’re generous and flavorful. We tried the Diavola and Capricciosa, both solid 13/20, though don’t expect farm-to-table ingredients—the mushrooms were canned, and there was even an olive stone in one slice. Still, the base quality makes up for it, and the homemade tiramisu (14/20) is genuinely better than what you’d get at fancier spots. Service is friendly but stretched during peak hours, and the atmosphere is more about quick turnover than lingering. If you’re after authentic pizza without the pretension, this is your spot.
