L'Avenue is your go-to spot for serious steakhouse vibes just outside the city center. Think wood-fired meats, brass and marble interiors, and a lounge bar that feels like a proper nightcap destination. The Tomahawk for two is legendary if you're feeling bold, but don't sleep on the Uruguayan entrecôte either.
Solid steakhouse with lounge vibes
L'Avenue hits that sweet spot between a proper steakhouse and a relaxed lounge. The interior is surprisingly elegant with all that brass and marble, making it feel more upscale than you'd expect for Saint-Ouen. You'll want to book ahead if you're going for the Tomahawk—that massive cut is meant for sharing and absolutely delivers on tenderness when cooked over wood fire. The terrace is a nice touch too, especially on warmer evenings when you can sip cocktails among the plants.
The menu is solid if you're craving quality meat, though it's not exactly adventurous. The Uruguayan entrecôte is a safe bet if you're not feeling adventurous, and the sides are simple but well-executed. Service is friendly without being overbearing, and the bar area gets lively in the evenings with live music on Saturdays. It's become a local favorite for good reason—reliable quality in a setting that doesn't feel too stuffy.
