About the Vibe

Doblo is one of the original wine bars in Budapest's Jewish Quarter, and it still feels like the real deal. You'll find a 40-foot bar, exposed brick, and chandeliers that give it an elegant yet welcoming vibe. The wine list rotates weekly with two dozen Hungarian options by the glass, including hard-to-find micro-producers, and the staff knows their stuff.

A Hungarian Wine Institution with Live Jazz

Doblo has been a staple in Budapest's wine scene for nearly a decade, and it's easy to see why. The space itself is charming—exposed brick walls, elegant chandeliers, and a long bar that draws you in. What sets it apart is the commitment to Hungarian wine: two dozen options by the glass that change weekly, featuring micro-producers you won't find elsewhere. The staff is knowledgeable and happy to guide you through the selection.

Beyond the wine, the atmosphere is lively but not overwhelming. Live jazz on Wednesdays adds a special touch, and the drink menu also includes craft beer, fröccs (wine spritzers), and a solid pĂĄlinka selection. The food is simple but well-executed—cheese plates, house-made pĂątĂ©s, and charcuterie pair perfectly with your glass. It's a great spot for a relaxed evening with friends or a more intimate date night. Bottles are available to take home at a discount, which is a nice bonus for wine lovers.
