Dino's Apothecary Bar is the kind of place that makes you forget Vienna's cocktail scene was ever considered secondary to its wine culture. The apothecary concept isn't just a coat of paint — cocktails arrive with the theatrical flair of old-world potions, and the seasonal menu keeps things fresh enough that regulars always have a reason to return. You'll find everything from spirit-forward classics to inventive house creations, and the staff can steer you right whether you want something sweet, sour, or smoky. It's no accident this place has been named Falstaff Bar of the Year three years running.
The space is small and intimate, which is both its biggest charm and its main limitation. You're close enough to the bar to watch the bartenders work, and the atmosphere lends itself to actual conversation rather than shouting over music. On warmer evenings, the outdoor terrace on Salzgries is a lovely bonus — you get a front-row seat to the street life of the Innere Stadt while still feeling tucked away. Just don't roll up at 10 PM on a Friday expecting to walk in; arrive early or be prepared to wait.

Dino's Apothecary Bar est le genre d'endroit qui vous fait oublier que la scène cocktail viennoise ait jamais pu passer pour secondaire par rapport à la culture du vin. Le concept d'apothicairerie n'est pas qu'un habillage décoratif — les cocktails arrivent avec la théâtralité de potions d'antan, et la carte saisonnière se renouvelle suffisamment pour que les habitués aient toujours une raison de revenir. On y trouve aussi bien des classiques orientés spiritueux que des créations maison inventives, et le personnel sait vous orienter selon vos envies, que vous préfériez sucré, acidulé ou fumé. Ce n'est pas un hasard si l'établissement a été élu Falstaff Bar de l'année trois années de suite.
L'espace est petit et intime, ce qui fait à la fois son plus grand charme et sa principale limite. On est assez près du comptoir pour observer les barmen à l'œuvre, et l'atmosphère se prête à la conversation plutôt qu'aux hurlements au-dessus de la musique. Les soirs plus chauds, la terrasse sur Salzgries est un atout non négligeable — on a une loge sur la vie de la rue dans l'Innere Stadt tout en se sentant à l'abri. Mais n'arrivez pas à 22 heures un vendredi en espérant entrer directement : venez tôt ou préparez-vous à patienter.
