Gin experts with a cozy vibe
De Haus has carved out a solid niche in Brussels' gin scene, and for good reason. The bartenders here actually know their stuffâthey'll spend time chatting with you about different gins and help you find something that matches your taste. The space feels big enough to not feel cramped but still maintains that intimate, homey atmosphere that makes you want to stay for a few rounds. The free peanuts are a nice touch, and the music strikes a good balance between being present and not overwhelming conversation.
That said, it's not perfect. The portions on the menu are genuinely small for the price point, and I've heard complaints about service feeling rushed when it's packed. The toilets have also gotten some negative mentions from visitors. But if you're coming specifically for the gin experience and don't mind paying a premium for quality, you'll leave satisfied. Just go during off-peak hours if you want to actually find a seat and have a real conversation with the staff.

Les barmanne ici connaissent vraiment leur mĂ©tier : ils prennent le temps de discuter avec vous sur les diffĂ©rentes gins et vous aident Ă trouver celle qui correspond Ă votre goĂ»t. L'espace est assez grand pour ne pas se sentir Ă l'Ă©troit tout en conservant cette atmosphĂšre intime et chaleureuse qui donne envie de rester pour quelques verres. Les cacahuĂštes gratuites sont une bonne touche, et la musique trouve un bon Ă©quilibre entre ĂȘtre prĂ©sente et ne pas Ă©touffer la conversation.
