About the Vibe

D1 Coffee is a proper independent spot tucked away on Aberdeen Place in Little Venice, just a short stroll from the canal. It's the kind of place where locals actually go for their daily caffeine fix, not just tourists. The coffee is seriously good—think Slayer espresso machines and freshly baked pastries that smell amazing when you walk in. Don't rush here; it's a place to linger, chat with the baristas, and maybe grab a muffin while watching the world go by from the counter.

A genuine local favorite for quality coffee

D1 Coffee has been a staple in the St John's Wood/Little Venice area since 2017, and it's easy to see why. This isn't a chain—it's a genuine independent café where the baristas know their craft. The coffee is consistently excellent, with a rich, smooth espresso that's hard to beat in the neighborhood. The space is compact but cozy, with a front counter where you can sit and people-watch, or grab a table inside if there's room.

What really sets D1 apart is the attention to detail. The sandwiches are made fresh daily with a drizzle of Spanish olive oil that adds a nice touch. The pastries are homemade and smell incredible when they come out of the oven in the morning. It's a bit of a trek from the main high street, but that's part of the charm—it feels like a local secret. Just be aware they close early on Sundays, so don't show up late in the afternoon expecting to find them open.
