The Italian-Mediterranean menu holds its own: creamy burrata from Puglia, perfectly grilled octopus, and a tiramisu that feels like a warm hug. It's not cheap, but you're paying for the view as much as the plate, and most people seem fine with that trade-off.
The place gets busy, and service can be hit-or-miss depending on the crowd — if it's packed, expect things to slow down. Ciel Rooftop est l'un des rares endroits à Marseille où l'emplacement et l'assiette tiennent leurs promesses. Perché au 7e étage de l'ancien bâtiment des Galeries Lafayette, rue Haxo, on profite d'une vue panoramique sur le Vieux-Port et la Bonne-Mère — et au coucher du soleil, quand le ciel se teinte de doré, c'est tout simplement imbattable. La cuisine italo-méditerranéenne suit : burrata crémeuse des Pouilles, poulpe parfaitement grillé, et un tiramisu qui réconforte comme il faut. Ce n'est pas donné, mais on paie autant pour la vue que pour le repas, et le jeu en vaut la chandelle.
L'endroit se remplit vite, et le service peut être inconstant selon l'affluence — quand c'est plein, ça ralentit.
