The Camden Head is a solid choice if you're looking for a traditional pub experience without the pretension. Built in 1899, the Grade II listed building has retained much of its Victorian character, from the etched glass windows to the warm, welcoming interior. It's clearly a neighborhood staple - you'll see regulars at the bar, families with kids at the tables, and plenty of dogs lounging around (they're genuinely dog-friendly here).
The food is what you'd expect from a Greene King pub: reliable pub classics done well. The Sunday roast is particularly good if you're visiting on that day, and the beer garden is a nice touch when the weather cooperates.
