Tucked away in Kleinmachnow, Café Elisabeth (Patisserie Miekley) is where French patisserie meets German precision. Master pastry chef Julia Miekley crafts exquisite individual cakes—her Mango Dulcey and Azélia (egg liqueur) Törtchen are legendary among locals. The cozy café with its terrace is perfect for a leisurely coffee break, though be prepared to pay cash only. It’s not the most Instagrammable spot, but the quality of the pastries speaks for itself—handcrafted, rich, and worth the trip from Berlin or Potsdam.
Handcrafted French pastries in Kleinmachnow
Café Elisabeth is a true hidden gem for pastry lovers in the greater Berlin area. Julia Miekley’s individual Törtchen are nothing short of spectacular—each one a miniature work of art that tastes even better than it looks. The Mango Dulcey is a must-try: creamy, fruity, and perfectly balanced. The Azélia brings a sophisticated kick with its egg liqueur flavor that’s rich but not overwhelming.
The café itself is modest but welcoming, with a nice terrace for sunny days. Service is friendly and unhurried. While the space isn’t fancy and you can’t pay by card (a quirk of the place), the quality of the pastries more than makes up for it. It’s the kind of spot where you’ll find yourself coming back just to try the next flavor on the board.
