Le Café Anzengruber est une institution du quartier de Wieden depuis 1949, mais ne vous laissez pas tromper par son nom : ce qui était autrefois un café viennois traditionnel s'est transformé en un lieu beaucoup plus animé et tourné vers la nuit. L'établissement n'ouvre qu'à 16h et reste ouvert jusqu'à 2h du matin, ce qui résume parfaitement son ambiance actuelle. À l'intérieur, vous retrouverez les chaises Thonet et les tables en marbre classiques d'un café viennois, mais l'atmosphère est celle d'un beisl authentique : bruyant, décontracté et accueillant pour tous, des artistes aux politiciens.
La cuisine est la véritable raison de venir ici. Commandez le Wiener Schnitzel, unanimement considéré comme l'un des meilleurs de Vienne, servi avec des pommes de terre ou une salade composée.
