Alley Cats Pizza is exactly what you'd hope for from a Chelsea outpost of the Marylebone favourite: loud, unpretentious, and serving some of the best NYC-style pizza in London. The crust hits that perfect sweet spot—crispy and ballooned at the edges, slightly droopy in the middle, and loaded with flavour. The halal pepperoni with honey and jalapeños is a standout, balancing smoky spice with just enough sweetness, while the Tuna Bonito pizza is a novelty that actually works (they use the fancy Ortiz tuna you'd find in delis, not some sad substitute).
The atmosphere is part of the appeal if you're in the mood for something energetic. The music is turned up, the red-and-white chequered tables are always full, and yes, you'll need your phone torch to read the menu. It's curated chaos, but that's the point. La pâte est parfaite — croustillante et bombée sur les bords, légèrement souple au centre, et généreusement garnie. La pepperoni halal avec miel et jalapeños est un vrai coup de cœur, avec un équilibre entre fumé, piquant et sucré.
