7VB Café is the kind of place that makes you feel like you've stumbled upon something special. Located just off the main drag in the Panier, you have to hunt for the entrance (it's downstairs), but once you're inside, you'll find a bright, airy space that feels worlds away from the cramped cafés typical of Marseille's old quarter. The coffee is genuinely excellent—clearly made by people who care about their craft—and the cinnamon brioche is a standout that you won't find anywhere else in the city.

The menu is relatively small but focused on quality over quantity. You'll find French-American breakfast items like eggs benedict and shakshuka alongside their signature pastries. It's not fancy, but the food is solid and the coffee is where this place truly shines. The staff are friendly without being over-the-top, and the atmosphere strikes a nice balance between lively and relaxed.

Honestly, this is one of the few places in Marseille where I'd actually recommend going out of your way for. It's not a tourist trap, and you'll mostly see locals and expats who know what they're doing. Just be aware that it can get busy on weekends, so if you want a quiet morning coffee, aim for a weekday visit.
